Resumo

Abstract

This study examines the properties of cement-based materials incorporating Recycled Concrete Powder (RCP) and Metakaolin (MK). It assesses their impact on hydration, physical-mechanical properties, and durability, including a detailed analysis of particle size distribution. A mix design strategy was developed for normal- and high-strength concretes, followed by a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to evaluate environmental implications. The results show that ternary mixtures with RCP and MK can match or exceed the performance of conventional materials, demonstrating their technical and sustainable viability for the construction industry.
